内容:

Rollでは一昨年と昨年に続き、西川©︎友美の3回目となる展覧会を開催します。本展では、西川©︎友美の大作の中から「誇大妄想。」（2018年）と晩年の作品となったゴブラン織で制作された「タコの見た夢」（2021年）をはじめ、初期に制作していた作品を数点展示、新作グッズの販売も予定しています。また会期中には、昨年Rollで開催された「2024 西川©︎友美 展」の関連イベントとして行われたトーク映像の上映とトークショーを開催します。ぜひこの貴重な機会にみなさまお誘い合わせの上ご来場ください。彼女が他界して4年が経った今日、西川©︎友美の作品をRollでご鑑賞頂けることを嬉しく思います。

1987年青森県八戸市生まれ。2009年日本女子体育大学健康スポーツ学科中退。2011年バンタンデザイン研究所グラフィックデザイン学科卒業。同年8月に10inc.入社。2018年第19回グラフィック「1_WALL」グランプリ受賞、2020年JAGDA新人賞受賞、2020-21年東京ADC賞受賞。http://www.10inc.jp/nishikawa/

Introduction: 

At Roll, we will hold the third solo exhibition of NISHIKAWA©︎TOMOMI, following those held in the year before last and last year.

The exhibition features some of her large-scale works, including Delusion of Grandeur. (2018) and A Dream Dreamt by an Octopus (2021), the latter of witch was created using Gobelin tapestry techniques and became one of her final pieces. Several early works will also be on view, along with exclusive new merchandise available for purchase.

During the exhibition period, we will also host a talk show and screen footage from a related event held at Roll during her 2024 exhibition. We warmly invite you to join us for this rare opportunity to experience the work of NISHIKAWA©︎TOMOMI. It has been four years since her passing,  and we are honored to once again present her art at Roll.

Profile:
NISHIKAWA©︎TOMOMI (The ©︎ is pronounced “Chomo”)
Born in 1987 in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture. She left Japan Women’s college of Physical Education in 2009, and graduated from Vantan Design Institute’s Graphic Design Department in 2011. That same year in August, she joined 10 Inc. She won the Grand Prize at the 19th Graphic “1_WALL” competition in 2018, the JAGDA New Designer Award in 2020, and the Tokyo ADC Award in 2020-21.  Website: http://www.10inc.jp/nishikawa/
