内容:

Rollでは、Satoru Koyamaの3年ぶりとなる写真展を開催します。“love letter”と題した本展では、2017年から2018年の一年間、2024年の半年間と2025年に撮影した日々の写真の中から、写真家自身がまとめた20枚の作品を展示、販売します。写真を生業にして生きていく中で少しずつ感じ始めていた自分の心とは違うもの。突如それが姿を現し、その日から写真が一切撮れなくなっていた。でも、それでもやっぱり写真を撮りたいと心が思った時に、なんとか撮ることができたのは、そこにいる、そこにある、愛おしい光景だった。

Introduction:

At Roll, we are pleased to present Satoru Koyama’s first solo photography exhibition in three years.

Entitled love letter, the show features 20 carefully selected works photographed by the artist during three district periods: one year from 2017 to 2018, six months in 2024, and in 2025. These photographs, taken from daily life, will be exhibited and available for purchase.

As he continued to make a living through photography, Koyama began to feel that something inside him no longer aligned with the act of taking pictures. One day, that feeling took-and from that moment, he found himself unable to take any photographs at all.

And yet, when his heart once again longed to photograph, what he was finally able to capture were the tender and beloved scenes that simply were there, waiting in the light.
